Sure that looks like a standard “No Parking” sign and the Tarpon Springs police department treated it as such. They wrote 233 tickets along the stretch of road that has 22 of these exact same signs. It sounds like everything is on the up-and-up but you’re forgetting that we’re talking about Florida.
All twenty-two of these “No Parking” signs are fake. The signs were installed two years ago by a developer who was pissed off at people that would park along this stretch of road and then walk across the street to a restaurant.
How does someone put up not one but twenty-two fake parking signs and not get busted for two years? I mean sure the Tarpon Spring PD might not exactly be a crack squad but parking signs that just showed up overnight didn’t raise any questions? Any official city sign has a sticker on the back but apparently it two years for someone to look up and check.
