Manny Pacquiao proved this weekend that he is the best pound for pound boxer in the world. It took all of about 30 seconds into the first round for Manny to stagger Ricky Hatton, and then another minute until Hatton was knocked down for the first time. Hatton looked more like me out there, instead of a 45-1 light welterweight champion.
Late in the second round it looked like Hatton may be gaining some strength. He is often staggered early as a result of his extra-aggressive style, but always comes back. Even against Mayweather, Hatton lasted 10 rounds, 7 with only one eye. But then with 8 seconds left in the 2nd round, Manny delivered what has to have been the hardest punch physically possible for a 140 pound (148 at fight time) man. Hatton was done, and I will be surprised if he ever fights again.
As for Pacquiao, he is the king and he needs to fight Mayweather. But Mayweather won’t want the fight, because he knows he can’t handle that kind of speed. Mayweather was always considered the fastest man in boxing, but then he retired. Pacquiao is faster. And he won’t dance around the ring like Mayweather. He will take it to him and beat him. Mark my words.

yea the pac man is pure dynamite, there is no one in the world that could make hatton look that bad. I mean mayweather had no trouble with hatton but it still took 10 rounds. I thought the same thing that hatton may have opened the pac mans eyes with a couple shots in the 2nd round, but he was just too fast and that last left hand was the perfect punch. Roach had the perfect game plan pac was just landing short crip right hooks whenever hatton tried to through that power left.
Can’t believe we all lost money on Hatton. Wanker!
