Brewery Name and Location: Dogfish Head Brewery - Milton, Delaware
Name of Brew: 90 Minute IPA
Style of Brew: India Pale Ale
ABV: 9.0%

The Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA is not only my favorite IPA but it’s probably the best IPA I”ve ever tried. If you find it on tap in a bar you’ll pay a little more for it than your run-of-the-mill IPA but it’s well worth it. The beer pours with a rich copper color and an inch thick white head that leaves nice lacing all the way down the glass. It’s got a great hoppy flower smell with hints of malt and fruit at the very end.

Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute IPA., “perhaps the best I.P.A. in America.” An Imperial I.P.A. brewed to be savored from a snifter. A big beer with a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate. This beer is an excellent candidate for use with Randall The Enamel Animal!

The beer hits your palate with the perfect balance of hops with citrus/grapefruit notes and a little bit of toasted malt. The 90 Minute IPA is so good I wish I could drink it like Bud Light. I mean I could try to drink it like Bud Light but with the 9.0% ABV it would kick my ass like Old English 800. This is definitely a beer that should be enjoyed and paired with a good meal. If you’re a fan of IPA you’ll be doing a disservice if you don’t try the 90 Minute IPA.

Drinking one of these right now, and I do believe this is THE BEST BEER I'VE EVER HAD. Amazingly, I only discovered it about two months ago -- I've always been a little wary of pretentious beers, and lets face it: the packaging, name, poetry on the bottle, EVERYTHING about this beer screams "oh-so-clever". So I avoided it, like a fool, not wanting to pay $12 for a four-pack of beers that I assumed would be "complex" but crappy. Instead, they nailed it. Almost nobody can make a beer work well at 9% (as noted, malt liquor tends to be the result), but these bastards pulled it off. Fantastic.
