Harvard/Yale “Football” Rivalry

Thanks to television, college football rivalry week now extends for three weeks. It started this past weekend with Ohio State vs. Michigan, and will continue through Thanksgiving and into next week. Locally we’re most focused on the Apple Cup on Saturday, it’ll be another shit show between the two worst teams in the Pac-10. Next week, Oregon and Oregon State have the Rose Bowl on the line in the Civil War. This past weekend was also one of the rivalries with one of the longest histories, Harvard vs. Yale. Now the game is mostly just known as another excuse for some smart white kids to get wasted and talk shit to each other using big words.

Deadspin has a small gallery of photos from “The Game,” but this one if the best. Yes, it’s a mini-keg stand using one of those Heineken kegs. You have to hand it to those Harvard/Yale kids, they’re at least creative.
