It wasn’t pretty but Lofa Ta-Two-Peat (LTTP) held on for the victory during the first weekend of flag-football playoffs. After a three week hiatus and a special Sunday evening game time, LTTP came out a little rusty. LTTP’s quarterback had a similar performance to that of Peyton Manning’s on Sunday Night Football. We’ll just say that interceptions were thrown, but in his defense the QB was put through an exhaustive physical and mental friendship endurance challenge only hours before game time.

Pride Is Forever, a familiar foe, looked to be at the top of their game and hoping to bring some balance to the one-sided rivalry. LTTP managed only two scores, but stepped it up on the defensive side of the ball with multiple red zone stops, securing a 14-6 victory.
LTTP will be in the championship game on Saturday against the Ball Bearers, another rival who suffered their only loss of the season at the hands of LTTP – 32-14 in week three.
Good luck and hopefully there will be boggs all around in celebration come Saturday.

With a record crowd on hand, made up of former Lofe Ta-Two-Peat (LTTP) All-Stars and devote TastyBooze readers, LTTP quickly turned multiple interceptions into points against this week’s foe, Multiple Scoregasm. Defense was key, as Multiple Scoregasm failed to come anywhere near the end-zone during the first half, as LTTP built a 32-0 halftime lead.

LTTP put it into cruise control for the second half, although Multiple Scoregasm was able to muster a single scoregasm on their last drive of the game, the victory was never in doubt with a final score of 52-7. LTTP and their adoring fans celebrated by throwing back a couple of post-game boggs while watching Kentucky upset LSU (both of which would be no match for LTTP).
LTTP closes out their regular season against PwC next Saturday, hoping to maintain their undefeated season and first round playoff bye. No big deal.

Last week we predicted our beloved TastyBooze sponsored flag-football team, Lofa Ta-Two-Peat (LTTP), would mop the floor with their opponents this weekend. However, the winless Sweep the Leg were able to tap their inner Karate Kid and stay in the game until the very end. Wax on… wax off.

Two first half interceptions put LTTP in the hole against Sweep the Leg, as their inept offense from weeks prior seemed to hitting on all cylinders - taking advantage of the turnovers for a two-score lead at halftime. LTTP channeled their name sake (Seattle Seahawks’ Linebacker Lofa Tatupu, for those of you living under a rock) to step it up on the defensive side of the ball for the second half. A first position turnover, followed by a quick LTTP score brought the team within striking distance. Sweep the Leg put together a determined drive down the field, only to be stonewalled by LTTP’s stifling defense, which was also aided by a couple ill-timed offensive penalties.
LTTP had the momentum and would soon have the lead. After trading quick scoring drives again, with LTTP scoring with just under a minute to play to take a six point lead, the defense was called on again to come up with a big stop. Sweep the Leg was as determined as Daniel-san against the Cobra Kai, as they marched down the field, but again had their problems in the red zone. On 4th and Goal, with 7 seconds to play, Sweep the Leg was hit with a Crane Kick to the stomach as LTTP preserved the victory with an interception in the end zone. Final score: 35 - 29. LTTP’s quarterback shook off a rough start to take home player of the game honors - throwing for three touchdowns, running for two and nabbing the interception to seal the game (that’s at least 25 fantasy points for those of you scoring at home).
LTTP will square off against second-place Multiple Scoregasm this weekend. A win will secure LTTP’s seat atop the standings and a first-round bye in the playoffs. LTTP will again play loose on the defensive side of the ball to prevent any scoregasms.

Although we’re a little late on the recap from the first week, the two-time defending champs, Lofa Ta-Two-Peat (LTTP) is off to a good start following a sweep of their double header this past week, putting them at 3-0.
In the first week of the season, LTTP faced off against a familiar foe, Pride Is Forever - who’s team slogan is “Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever.” We find this hard to believe, since LTTP (formally Playing the Field) has beaten Pride is Forever about 15 times in the last four seasons. LTTP brushed off some early rust from their summer hiatus to come away with a 35-33 win.
For the week two double header, LTTP hit their stride and focused on the defensive side of the ball to come away with both wins. The Ball Bearers were the first to step up to the ass-whooping on Saturday. LTTP capitalized on the Ball Bearers inept offense and cruised to an easy 32-14 win. Next up was another familiar opponent, It’s Nothing Personal. In the past, their asian Vince Young at quarterback had caused problems, but some clever strategery for the pass rush paid dividends. A couple late touchdowns made the game respectable, as LTTP flirted with the mercy rule, with the final score being 31-20. LTTP headed to the local sponsor bar to celebrate over a couple boggs.
LTTP sits atop the standings, unfortunately a spot shared with their arch nemesis The Usual Suspects, a.k.a. The Usual Tight-Wearing Douchebags. This Saturday, LTTP faces the cellar-dwellers Sweep The Leg, I predict LTTP mops the floor with them.

In an effort to expand the Tastybooze empire we decided to sponser a flag football team in the Underdog Sports Fall 07 co-ed flag football league. We only associate with the best here at Tastybooze so we decided to sponsor the two time defending champions Lofa Ta-Two-Peat (formerly Playing the Field). These guys and gals are an A-1 group of ass kickers and are going to steam roll the competition this season just like the last two. If you want to come out and support us and learn about how the game of flag football is supposed to be played then drop by the Seattle Center. Maybe we can go out and have a delicious boggs to celebrate another Lofa Ta-Two-Peat victory.

There are always a couple of games going on at the Seattle Center on any given Saturday. If you want to find the Tastybooze team of ass kickers just look for the players that look dejected and wish they hadn’t even strapped on their flags.
We’ll be on the other side of the ball.
