The guys over at Double Viking asked us to write a weekly booze related feature for them. Every Tuesday some kind of Tasty Booze original creation will show up over there. If you’re not already a regular reader of Double Viking you should definitely check them out.
We here at TastyBooze do our best to toe the line of maturity. Making sure to always take the high road, we often ignore the cheap joke in favor of serious writing and pleasant satire. However, when recently reading the erudite BBC news we came across this little known culinary delight, the faggot. Now, we could make the obvious immature joke (ed. Know how I know you’re gay? Because you eat faggots!), but instead we wish to inform you of this delightful dish.
The faggot is like a pork dumpling similar to a meatball. Sometimes a regional dish, Fred Doody remarked, “The great British faggot is full of flavour and a great belly warmer at this time of year.”
Fred and the rest of the Doody’s are the newest champions of the faggot. On a crusade to promote the faggot all throughout the homeland, and soon throughout the colonies as well, the Doody’s are a family of four and eat faggots a couple times a week.
Winning a statewide competition organized by “faggot producer Mr. Brain’s Faggots,” the Doody’s were deemed to be the best possible spokespeople in all of England.
When young Lewis, the Doody’s 14-year-old son, was asked what he thought about being a spokesperson for faggots he replied, “I can’t wait for school to start again so I can tell all my friends about the great taste. My friends will love faggots!”
But this year belongs to Lil Wayne. His album, Tha Carter III (read the TastyBooze review), sold more than 1 million copies in the first week and his next single featuring T-Pain, “Got Money,” is already getting tons of radio air play.
With no official video out yet, and considering our love of the Smurfs and Lil Wayne’s short stature, we thought this was a perfect pairing. TastyBooze now presents Papa Wayne featuring Smurf-Pain in “Got Money”:
Although we’re a little late on the recap from the first week, the two-time defending champs, Lofa Ta-Two-Peat (LTTP) is off to a good start following a sweep of their double header this past week, putting them at 3-0.
In the first week of the season, LTTP faced off against a familiar foe, Pride Is Forever - who’s team slogan is “Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever.” We find this hard to believe, since LTTP (formally Playing the Field) has beaten Pride is Forever about 15 times in the last four seasons. LTTP brushed off some early rust from their summer hiatus to come away with a 35-33 win.
For the week two double header, LTTP hit their stride and focused on the defensive side of the ball to come away with both wins. The Ball Bearers were the first to step up to the ass-whooping on Saturday. LTTP capitalized on the Ball Bearers inept offense and cruised to an easy 32-14 win. Next up was another familiar opponent, It’s Nothing Personal. In the past, their asian Vince Young at quarterback had caused problems, but some clever strategery for the pass rush paid dividends. A couple late touchdowns made the game respectable, as LTTP flirted with the mercy rule, with the final score being 31-20. LTTP headed to the local sponsor bar to celebrate over a couple boggs.
LTTP sits atop the standings, unfortunately a spot shared with their arch nemesis The Usual Suspects, a.k.a. The Usual Tight-Wearing Douchebags. This Saturday, LTTP faces the cellar-dwellers Sweep The Leg, I predict LTTP mops the floor with them.
